Flex Beefsteak and Phil, the bionic dwarf
This was a comic book that I conceived of, wrote and illustrated 30 years ago. Three issues were published.
It told the story of Phil, a bionic dwarf clown, and Flex Beefsteak, a circus strongman. Together, they travelled the country with a travelling circus and try to fight crime on the side.
I am now working on updating the story and turning it into an animated film using A.I. It will be a long and arduous process, but also a great way to learn the technology. I have been using Figma Weave as the central platform. I’ve been using my sketches and Nano Banana, as well as GPT 2, to develop the looks of the characters and environments. I have also used some Midjourney. Videos are generated using Kling and Seedance so far. I’m sure this will change as the technology continues to evolve.
Over the years I would change the name and continue to develop the story and looks of the characters..
I recently used Nano Banana to update the characters and create a new movie poster. I am in the process of animating the story using A.I. It's a long way off, but a great learning process. I'm using Figma Weave to set up my workflows. Nano Banana and GPT 2 to develop the looks of the characters, and Kling 3 to animate. It's been fun watching it come together.
